Music P: “No Good” and “Deep Down Vo.5 – The Mixtape”

I’ve only had the new single, “No Good” by Music P & Marque Aurel for two days and it’s burning a hole in my speakers as I’m playing it way too much. This will take you to places you dare not dream imaginable. Listen to it and listen to it well for there are many layers in the song, each contributing its own magic. This isn’t the music that you might expect from a club DJ, it isn’t saturated with a hard, fast beat. This is the music of a club DJ exploring other realms. So yes, it is groovy, but groovy in a Deep House sense.

Music P & Marque Aurel takes us across the dance floor to a realm that is best explored with closed eyes and a calm body. The more you listen to it, the more the laidback vocals and smart keyboards engulf your spirit and mind, taking you to planes above reality. “No Good” is one of those rare and perfect things which defies modern constraints and soars on its own across a twinkling field of starlight and makes your sonic world a better place.

Music P is a German Producer/Songwriter and DJ known for his, Deep House, Tech-House, Indie Dance and Nu-Disco sound. With countless TV and radio appearances in Europe, single and double digit chart hits, Music P continues to invest his love for music in a string of exciting new projects and collaborations. He started producing Hip Hop and R&B at the age of 13 and performed live at 15. Music P also enjoyed a 2-year stint in Australia before returning to Germany and releasing his 2nd album, “STILL More Where That Came From”.

“No Good” is exactly what you’d expect it to be, melodic, deep, and uplifting at the same time. For some people, electronic music is nothing but a set of repetitive beats and uncreative sounds (perhaps those people are staying in the techno section too long?). Music P & Marque Aurel tackles those issues and come up with a winning formula for maximum club and radio-friendliness. But “No Good” is not the only release that Music P has on the shelves.

Currently he is also promoting his one-hour Deep House recording, entitled “Deep Down Vo.5 – The Mixtape”.  Instead of crafting a few tracks that conform to the average fan’s expectations and going for all-out dance-floor banging, this album is filled with intricate soundscapes and lush ambience and emotions. It’s a smart record that soothes, inspires and grooves. With this recording Music P will grab you with his music, wrap you up in a blanket, take you on a trip and show you places you have never been.

The easy, smooth, and sometimes invigorating vocals are just superb. Crystalline sounds, complex layering, beautiful melodies, for anyone who appreciates electronic music and sound experimentation “Deep Down Vo.5 – The Mixtape” is a must-have. The tones and timbres Music P gets out of his gear is really quite stunning. These sounds are composed into constantly changing and shifting soundscapes, with dozens of beautiful melodies fading in and out of the mix. Those who appreciate innovation and smooth groove in electronic music should be really impressed with this!
