Kaz Bielinski: “Forever Love” – Just In Time for Valentine’s!

Most definitions of melody describe the concept as a musically pleasing sequence of notes.  Which is true, but incomplete.  A song’s melody is its soul, it’s what makes a piece unique, and what usually sticks with listeners more than any other element of a composition. Through the years, since the sixties, rock and pop has gradually lost the essence of great melodies in its songwriting. An essential part of why just about any popular 60’s Beatles song, is still remembered, and can be hummed, or sung, by just about any generation around a campfire. Try doing that with any song released this year or even yesterday. Today it’s all about beat, rhythm and super sound effects, all brilliant stuff…which you can’t hum or sing around the campfire. And that you certainly won’t remember 6 months from now.

Luckily there are still classic songwriters like Kaz Bielinski around. The L.A. native have just dropped the mid-tempo love ode, entitled “Forever Love”, written for his wife Judy, to whom he has been married for over a quarter of a century.

Kaz began writing songs during his school years after receiving a guitar as a gift from his parents, and even went on to form the band ‘The Illusions’ during junior high. After attending high school Kaz told his mother he wanted to be a big hit songwriter. She said “Fine, transfer to UCLA, I’ll pay for your room, board and tuition, while you gain a BA in Political Science and you can write all the songs you want.”

After graduating Kaz drove a cab for several years, learned computer programming at UCLA extension, worked for 17 years in the IT sector, and obtained a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine – all while playing in a band and never losing his passion for music. His latest single “Forever Love”, plays testimony to that fact.

Kaz Bielinski is a talented writer, with an ear for gently catchy songs and decorative instrumentation that is not overproduced.  “Forever Love” is warm and bright, with an enthusiastic romantic view behind its lyrics. And there is a sincere nostalgic affection coursing through it.

Kaz’s rich and comforting vocals, exudes plenty of flair and spirit, and acts as a pleasingly understated throwback to yesteryear’s rock n’ roll crooners. The liveliness of the music is difficult to resist, and as it foregoes more wayward rhythms in favor of something joyful and animated, it has an infectious appeal.

Most singer-songwriters would have put together a heart moving slow-burner, for a song of this nature, instead Kaz surprises with his choice of sonics, but it ultimately has a great impact. Instead of just being another dreary brooding love ballad, “Forever Love” is loaded with uplifting and inspiring energy.

Very lovingly and affectionately, adding depth and resonance to the emotion, Kaz Bielinski is putting the warm sunshine back into love! Currently on AC radio and charting on FMQB, the song is genuinely engaging with an enthusiastic and widespread appeal. And just in time for Valentine’s Day!
