Melvin Fromm Jr.: “Nice Beach Weather Filled Life” is quite literally one of his very best efforts!

Melvin Fromm Jr.’s catalog features an endless variety of virtually flawless renditions of several musical genres; from classical to pop to country to international selections, and ‘truly enjoyable’ does not even begin to describe the musical experiences derived from ‘just listening’. Melvin is a fine composer and he has once again richly lived up to his reputation with this single release.

Melvin Fromm Jr. is a master of the musical arrangement, and as a result, it is most challenging for me to select my favorite songs from this selection of creations. However, I will take a stab at it by mentioning one of them, since this song, as arranged by Melvin Fromm Jr., represents not only the very best from him, but is more or less of a template for the interpretive capabilities of the man.

melvin-fromm-jr-250bMelvin Fromm Jr. arrangement of “Nice Beach Weather Filled Life” is quite literally one of his very best efforts and is unforgettable. His selection of instruments for the development of the crunchy alternative rock song as it moves along is beyond merely ‘appropriate’, as it actually presents for the listener the evolution of Melvin’s craft.

The employment of the guitars at the outset represents the tentative and nature of Melvin’s initiation and progress, and like true art, it builds as a crescendo through the use of pace and percussion.

The power of the song, as presented by Melvin Fromm Jr., encompasses both the emotional and physical aspects of the rock n’ roll genre. It is simply a wonderful execution of Melvin’s compositional craft made even more unforgettable in its fantastic use of organic instrumentation. As I said, this song represents the effort and quality put into every composition in Melvin Fromm Jr.’s catalog.
